Every now and then, it’s worth venturing off of campus for your coffee fix. Starbucks and Einstein’s are great, but Birmingham is home to a whole host of really interesting coffee shops that every UAB student should at least try out. Most people have likely heard of the popular, hip ones like Red Cat and Domestique. One coffee shop that may be less known to UAB students is Crestwood Coffee Co. The USGA Senate met for a special meeting on Tuesday night in room 318 of the Hill Center to approve the unopposed candidate running for the vacant Executive Vice President seat. USGA Senate voted unanimously to appoint Michayla Jeremiah, former Vice Chairperson of the Senate, to Executive Vice President.The Senate has vacant seats in five different schools. The city of Birmingham municipal elections are on Aug. 24 — less than two weeks away. With voting day coming upon us, it is important everyone knows where and how to vote.  How do I know if I am able to vote, and where do I cast my ballot?  Before voting in Alabama, you must be registered to vote.
