Over the weekend, UAB Men’s Baseball hosted Tulane at Young Memorial Field and completed a three-game sweep against them. This is the first conference series sweep since 2016.
The Blazers set the tone Friday by earning a huge lead and holding off a late Tulane rally to win 9-6.
On Saturday, the Blazers stayed in command with timely hitting and solid pitching, pulling away for a 7-4 win and locking up the series.
Sunday, the Blazers came up from behind to tie the game with a clutch eight-inning home run and completed the sweep with another strong push at the plate. After Tulane regained the lead at the top of the ninth, UAB’s Max Price hit a 2-run home run to finish the series sweep. The team finished with a 5-4 victory.
