The Olympic Games are set to kick off for the first time in over three years, and we have the details on all the ways you can watch them even if you are in your dorm.
Events and programs for the Olympics will be televised on NBC, NBC Sports Network, USA Network, CNBC, the Olympic Channel, Telemundo and Golf Channel.
For those living on UAB’s campus, NBC, NBC Sports Network, CNBC and Golf Channel are available to watch on the Apogee Stream2 service.
Stream2 is a television-streaming service similar to Sling TV or YouTube TV that broadcasts live TV from a number of different channels. The service is free on UAB Wi-Fi networks with a BlazerID login.
The games will also be streamed on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app. A cable or over-the-top streaming service login is needed to access the full content.
Peacock will be host to four Olympics shows: “Tokyo LIVE” with daily live coverage, “Tokyo Gold” with highlights and analysis of the day, “On Her Turf at The Olympics” with highlights of female athletes and “Tokyo Tonight” with interviews and features from the day in Japan.
The four shows on Peacock are all free to stream, but each will only be for a limited amount of time each day. All of Team USA men’s basketball games will also be available to stream on Peacock.
A full schedule of events can be found on NBC’s website.
This year’s opening ceremony will be broadcast twice on NBC, once at 5:55 a.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. central time.
