Clairo’s new album “Sling” is the ultimate fall album. It’s slow, emotional and definitely can be enjoyed in this colder weather. “Partridge” in particular has me walking around campus like a main character. It’s very in sync with this new season.

If I were to choose a song that sounds like fall to me, it would be “Blue Ridge Mountains” by Fleet Foxes. As far as in shows that get me in the fall mood it’s “Stranger Things” and “Gilmore Girls”

Taylor Swift’s “Red” album screams fall to me. There’s never a bad time to be a Swiftie, but it’s made even better when you can roll down the windows and scream sing “All Too Well” with a chill in the air.

The album “My Woman” by Angel Olsen is a good relatively slow album for those cold, rainy fall days. It is good background music for studying and sipping a hot latte while following this sad love story through the lyrics.

The miniseries “Over the Garden Wall” has immaculate fall vibes. Beautiful autumnal animation, fun characters, and a great storyline — all without being hyper-focused on Halloween. You can watch the one and only season on Hulu in a single sitting.
“Over the Garden Wall” is available to stream on Hulu and HBO Max.

The show “Gilmore Girls” fits the fall category to me. It takes place during the school year and most of the stories told are set in October and November. Fall is for the harvest, whether that being corn or Chinese take-out.
“Gilmore Girls” is available to stream on Netflix.

The movie adaptation of “Fantastic Mr. Fox” has the perfect fall look. The oranges, red and yellows of the stop-motion animation combined a twee heist plot pushes it into Thanksgiving territory without being some Pilgrim story.
“Fantastic Mr. Fox” is available to stream to Disney+.
