Looking to enjoy some live music from some of your favorite bands? Well, this is your sign. Birmingham has some really great lineups this year, and I’m here to share them with you!
Phoebe Bridgers came to Avondale Brewing Co. earlier this month, and it was “arguably one of the hottest tour tickets for the fall concert season.” A few of Aura’s own showed up and out for the concert, including Submissions Manager Kafui Sakyi-Addo. Kafui writes, “One of my favorite things about living in Birmingham is how many of my favorite artists I’ve been able to see perform live. I got to see Phoebe Bridgers a few weeks back, and she’s such an incredible performer, I honestly haven’t recovered.” Here are a few pictures from the memorable night:
Earlier this week, Surfaces performed at the Avondale Brewing Co. as well. I went along with Copy-Editor Elaina Solano, and it was one of the better concerts I’ve ever been to! I’m slightly obsessed with Surfaces (I 100% knew every word to every song— no cap) and even I didn’t expect them to have as good of a stage presence as they did. Needless to say, it was an experience. I made sure to grab a few pictures to share (videos were taken, but sadly, I didn’t make it out with a single video in which I wasn’t screeching lyrics like a dying cat):
