Jordan Walker was named Conference USA player of the Week for the second straight week, the league announced earlier today.
The Tulane transfer put on a show against Louisiana Tech on Saturday, scoring 36 points. His success was driven from behind the arc, tying a UAB record with nine threes. His performance helped UAB to an 83-76 victory over their division rival.
Walker earned player of the week honors last week after scoring over 20 points in contests against both FIU and Florida Atlantic. He is fourth in points per game among C-USA players, averaging 17.95 per game.
Freshman of the week honors went to North Texas guard Aaron Scott who notched 13 rebounds against Charlotte.
The Blazers (16-4, 6-1) are now first place in Conference USA. They will next face Western Kentucky (10-9, 2-4) on Thursday. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. from Bowling Green. The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
