“Ragnarok” on Netflix took me by surprise and is actually a decent series. The show is made in Norway and I highly recommend watching the original Norwegian audio with English subtitles because the English dub isn’t so great. It’s basically about Norse mythology being real in the 21st century through the style of a drama. It’s super Norwegian.
“Ragnarok” is now streaming on Netflix.

I started “Better Call Saul” recently. I had only seen a few episodes a few years ago after I finished Breaking Bad and just didn’t keep up. I’ve finally actually returned to it and it’s an impressive prequel, which makes sense given how impressive Breaking Bad was. It’s interesting to basically hit rewind on some iconic characters and see why they ended up the way they did in the original show.

I’m getting back into “Evil” now that the second season is out. “Evil” is about a psychologist and a priest-in-training who investigate possible paranormal events for the Catholic Church. So naturally, there is a strong element about religion and faith in the show, but this is no “Touched by an Angel”. It explores a variety of dark themes surrounding what it means to even have faith in something bigger than yourself and if there’s even a greater power at all.
The episodes themselves are as dark as anything you’d see on television. It is truly incredible to a show on network television willing to graphically show exorcisms and throat-slitting. Even now that it’s made the unfortunate move to Paramount+, “Evil” still gives off the incredible week-to-week procedural vibes of shows like “The X-Files” or “Hannibal” that just don’t get made anymore.
“Evil” season 2 releases every Sunday on Paramount+. The first season is available to stream on Paramount+ and Netflix.

I’ve been watching “The Handmaid’s Tale”. As the United States is confronted with a plummeting fertility rate due to environmental disaster, the new totalitarian regime of Gilead has taken over and reintroduced social classes that dictate the freedoms and duties of those in it’s society. Empowered by religious fanaticism, they enslave fertile women who they deem disruptive based on their interpretation of the Biblical account of Bilhah, a concubine who bore children for the family of Rachel and Jacob.

I’ve been rewatching a lot of iDubbbzTV lately! His content is just so chaotic and funny. I had to make an eight-hour drive yesterday, and I hit play on his Bad Unboxing playlist and just listened to the audio for the first hour I spent on the road. His stuff is so good that it’s entertaining even without the visual component.
